Description
As a Project Engineer you will be tasked with the following:
Lead and coordinate new product introduction and change-management projects from enquiry through to delivery.
Develop and manage project plans, gateways, milestones, budgets, and risk‑mitigation actions.
Drive APQP activities and compile PPAP documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
Resolve project roadblocks, assign accountability, and ensure issues are closed out effectively.
Coordinate and manage customer RFQs, review costings, and prepare competitive quotations.
Chair project meetings, communicate progress to stakeholders, and maintain consistent project documentation.
Provide technical support across departments and ensure strong cross‑functional communication.
Conduct lessons‑learned reviews and ensure adherence to internal project management processes.
Coach, support, and guide project team members to promote strong performance and development.Profile
A successful Project Engineer should have:
Engineering/Manufacturing degree / HNC or equivalent industry experience is essential
Knowledge & Experience of PPAP & APQP is essential (FAI advantageous)
3 Years experience of project management within a manufacturing environment is essential
Understanding of CNC machining principles
Knowledge of Castings, Extrusions & Forgings would be advantageous
Recognised Project Management Qualification (desirable)
Excellent IT skills with an in depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
Experience of managing manufacturing projects on schedule and within budget
Experience interfacing with customers
Working knowledge of MS ProjectJob Offer
