Operating across a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, and education, they are known for their collaborative approach, technical excellence, and consistent project delivery.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint Design Managers at various levels to join their London-based team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for Design Managers to work on prestigious and technically challenging projects across multiple sectors.
You will play a key role in managing and coordinating the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring that all design deliverables are aligned with programme, cost, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the design process across one or multiple projects
Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
Review and control design programmes to ensure timely delivery
Identify, manage, and mitigate design risks
Lead and chair design team meetings
Ensure designs comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements
Provide technical input and support during both tender and delivery stages
Monitor design progress and drive issue resolution
Requirements
Experience working as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment
Exposure to one or more of the following sectors:
-Residential
-Commercial
-Education
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and design management processes
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive, solutions-focused approach
Architects with similar project experience will be considered
Location & Travel
Candidates must be based in or around London
Willingness to attend site visits across London and occasionally the wider UK is essential
