Role Overview As their new Accounts Assistant, you will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, supporting the business with timely and accurate accounting. You must have prior experience using COINS software, as it is central to their financial and project management processes. Key Responsibilities * Manage accounts payable and receivable using COINS software * Process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and subcontractor payments * Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring * Maintain accurate records for VAT returns and other HMRC compliance * Assist with monthly management accounts and reporting * Liaise with project managers and external stakeholders on financial queries * Support payroll and CIS submissions as needed * Provide administrative support for financial audits Requirements * Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction or M&E sector * Essential: Proficient in COINS software * Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT compliance * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems * Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a small team * Good communication skills, both written and verbal Desirable * AAT qualification or working towards one (preferred but not essential) * Experience with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary depending on experience * Pension scheme * 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) * Friendly and professional working environment * Opportunities for progression and professional development
