Specialist Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rehabilitation
We are seeking a Band 6 occupational therapist with a keen interest in neurology to join our Community Neurorehabilitation Service, Rayners Hedge Aylesbury.
The role is suitable for an existing Band 6 or an experienced Band 5 with relevant neurorehabilitation experience, who wishes to develop specialist skills in neurorehabilitation.
You will be a motivated, confident, autonomous practitioner with high-level communication skills, a flexible problem-solving approach, sound clinical reasoning and strong time and people management abilities.
You will support individuals with a range of neurological conditions, working holistically towards patient-led goals to maximise their potential. You will join a highly experienced multidisciplinary team renowned for an innovative and holistic approach. The team supports learning and development with opportunities to further enhance neurorehabilitation skills.
Key responsibilities
* Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for adults referred to the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (CNRS).
* Assess the functional, rehabilitation and vocational needs of patients referred to CNRS, across a variety of community locations.
* Manage a caseload of patients with complex neurological rehabilitation needs.
* Work as an autonomous practitioner (accessing clinical supervision as required) with high levels of problem solving and clinical reasoning.
