Plumbing Lecturer
About the Role
We are working in partnership with a college based in Bexley who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Plumbing Lecturer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students across Levels 1 and 2, helping them develop the practical skills and industry knowledge needed to succeed in a plumbing career.
You will work closely with the Curriculum Manager to expand and develop their plumbing department, contributing to the delivery of high-quality education for all students. With your industry experience, you will inspire the next generation of skilled professionals and support students from diverse backgrounds in achieving their career and life ambitions.
This role also involves promoting the plumbing courses through marketing events and sharing your insights and experiences as a professional Plumber.
The working hours for this role are Monday-Friday, 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching to students of varying abilities (Level 1 and Level 2).
2. Support curriculum development and departmental growth alongside the Curriculum Manager.
3. Inspire students by sharing practical plumbing knowledge and real-world experiences.
4. Participate in course promotion, marketing events, and open days.
5. Maintain accurate student records and contribute to effective administration practices.
Skills and Experience
6. Proven experience in teaching and/or relevant plumbing industry experience.
7. Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent).
8. Qualified FE teacher (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
9. Excellent communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and confidently to class groups.
10. Strong organizational and administrative skills to support student record-keeping.
11. Passionate about mentoring and developing students from diverse backgrounds.
