What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential KS5 opportunities).
Inspiring students through hands-on cooking projects, food design, and exploring the science behind food preparation.
Creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to experiment and express their creativity.
Leading food-related enrichment activities, including cooking competitions, showcases, and culinary events.
Incorporating current food trends, sustainability, and health-conscious cooking into the curriculum.
Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall food education experience and contribute to a thriving department.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
Holds QTS (or is working towards it) and has a degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.
Has strong experience in teaching food technology and a genuine passion for food and cooking.
Can effectively teach both practical cooking skills and the theoretical aspects of nutrition and food science.
Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and fresh ideas to the classroom.
Has excellent communication skills and can build strong rapport with students to foster a positive learning environment.
Is organised, proactive, and committed to continuous professional development.
