Role overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our Service team based at Tadcaster.
As a Service Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the service team by coordinating daily administrative tasks, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring timely invoicing and documentation. This role is key to helping us deliver a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member
Open and manage work orders from start to completion
Prepare service-related documents such as invoices and purchase orders
Check and finalise job cards and work orders for accuracy
Maintain service department records, filing systems, and databases
Coordinate the warranty claim processes
Schedule training and manage attendance records for the team
Support the Service Manager with day-to-day tasks and reporting
Carry out any other administrative duties to support the department's goals
Promote Ripon Farm Services and John Deere with professionalism and integrity
Skills & Qualifications
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internet functions
Organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with both written and verbal communication skills
Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
Familiarity with service or dealer management systems (desirable)
Experience with warranty systems or agricultural/automotive environments is an advantage
