UNQUALIFIED Learning Support Assistant – Tredegar

Monday – Friday (Full-time and part-time roles available)
8:30 – 3:30 – No weekends!
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Secondary Schools in the Tredegar area. These schools support young people aged 11–16 and have additional bases dedicated to pupils with Special Educational Needs. They are currently seeking both full‑time and part‑time members of staff to join their team of educators.

The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support young people in both their personal and educational development, following their individual development plans. These plans will be provided by the school via their assessment processes to guide you in how to best support each pupil.
Your support will take place in both mainstream classrooms and specialist SEN bases, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a positive attitude toward learning. A calm, patient, and proactive approach will be essential for developing strong relationships and promoting engagement.
Full training will be provided by both Teaching Personnel and the school to ensure you feel confident and prepared.

What Do I Need to Apply?

* Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration (we can help you apply!)
* Ability to travel to the Tredegar area between 8:30 – 3:30
* Two referees able to provide references
* A positive attitude and genuine desire to support young people
* A willingness to learn how to support pupils within alternative and inclusive education environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
