JOB – Project Manager
LOCATION – Southampton
TERM- Permanent
SALARY - £45,000-£55,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client designs and manufactures specialist solutions for Engineering. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a technical background to join their team in the Southampton area on a permanent basis.
The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
* 3 or more years of Project Management experience
* Background in Construction, Civil, HVAC, Chemical or similar industries
* Hold PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification
* An educational or hands-on background in Mechanical Engineering
* Ability to read engineering drawings and understand CAD
* A background in Construction, Installation, Instrumentation or similar industries would be beneficial
* Strong client-facing experience
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
* Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Project Manager role will involve:
* Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
* Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
* Organising the supply chain
* Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
* Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
* Working with design, purchasing and production departments
* Presenting project plans and reports to management
* Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
* Maintaining technical documentation as required
* Working in a small, multidisciplined team
* Communicating new concepts to other departments within the company as well as internal stakeholders
* Delivering and driving projects within the company
* Driving for progression and growth of the business
