Join Our Dynamic Radiotherapy Team

We are seeking experienced, forward-thinking Radiographers passionate about delivering high-quality care through leadership, expert knowledge, and evidence-based practice. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a technically advanced service impacting our local population.

About the Role

You will demonstrate strong leadership, motivate and support colleagues, and drive innovation in a busy, progressive department.

About the Department

Our modern Radiotherapy Department features eight Varian linear accelerators, including six TrueBeam units (two TrueBeam STX) and two Halcyon machines. We routinely deliver Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT). Our services include Stereotactic Ablative Body Radiotherapy (SABR), Continuous Hyper fractionated Accelerated Radiotherapy (CHART), Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH), and Total Body Irradiation (TBI).

We welcome enthusiastic, committed individuals eager to develop professionally and contribute to a high-performing, innovative team.

Rotate through all clinical areas of the Radiotherapy Department—including treatment and pre-treatment—under the supervision of the appropriate Superintendent Radiographers.

Manage a team of radiographers, providing clear leadership, support, and guidance to ensure high standards of clinical practice.

Act as the Lead Clinical Radiographer for your designated treatment or pre treatment unit, taking responsibility for the coordination and delivery of safe and effective care.

Coordinate the clinical workload of your assigned Treatment Unit, ensuring efficient patient flow and optimal use of resources.

Serve as a key point of contact for specialist clinical advice, working collaboratively with Superintendent Radiographers to support staff and maintain best practice.

Contribute actively to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the department's ISO 9000 Quality Management System.

Lead and participate in clinical research, audits, and the development of new radiotherapy techniques and equipment to ensure the department remains at the forefront of innovation.

Ensure that the highest technical and patient care standards are consistently maintained during both simulation and treatment procedures.

Take a proactive role in the evaluation, introduction, and implementation of new equipment, software, and advanced treatment techniques.

You will be joining a Trust that values and respects all of its staff and the diverse community it serves. We are proud to be recognised as a leader in both the NHS and research sectors, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care through innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

As an employer, the Trust offers a wide range of benefits, including:

Excellent opportunities for continuing professional development (CPD) and career progression.

A range of employee support policies designed to help you balance your personal and professional life.

Access to staff health and wellbeing services, flexible working options, and support networks.

A forward-thinking and inclusive working environment where your contribution is genuinely valued.

We are committed to fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and excellence—for our patients, our staff, and our community.
