Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced part time Pastry Chef on behalf of our client in the south Birmingham area. Working under the senior chefs, your duties will include: - Creating and preparing a wide variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries - Ensuring quality and freshness. - Mastering various decorating techniques (piping, glazing, moulding, etc.) to enhance the visual appeal of desserts - Ensuring that all pastry items meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation before serving - Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, managing inventory. - Adhering to all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations. - Stocking checking and ordering of ingredients - Contributing new ideas to the menu Skills and Qualifications - A deep understanding of baking techniques, pastry recipes, and various dessert styles. - Ability to decorate and present desserts in an appealing and visually stunning way. - Precision and care in following recipes and ensuring consistent quality. - Organisational and Time Management Skills - Communication and Teamwork Skills - Familiarity with various baking and pastry equipment. - Food hygiene level 2 or above - Food allergens - Proven skill in baking, pastry preparation and decoration, with experience of working as a Pastry Chef in a commercial kitchen Salary dependant on experience Click APPLY to submit your CV Blue Arrow is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to helping find great work opportunities for great people
