Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Construction Superintendent (or designee), performs manual construction tasks, minor repairs, and simple project tasks including ground work and janitorial duties. Performs related work as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs maintenance, repair, sanitation, and janitorial duties, including:
* Cleaning work areas and equipment; moving supplies; cleaning and washing equipment; repairing equipment; shuffling parts; maintaining equipment; operating equipment as authorized; using small tools under supervision.
1. Performs janitorial duties on grounds and in facilities as assigned.
2. Maintains confidentiality of all information obtained through professional and client interactions.
3. Follows safety standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
4. Communicates changes and progress; responds promptly to customer needs; meets commitments.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

* High school diploma or GED; work experience may substitute for education.

* Exposure to outdoor weather, cold, wet conditions; moderate noise level.
* Valid Alaska Driver's License meeting insurance criteria.
Preferred:
* Alaskan / American Indian (member of a federally recognized tribe).
* Ability to speak and/or understand conversational Inupiaq.
