Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Domestic Electrical & Plumbing Technician to work within private and commercial domestic properties. This is a permanent, field-based role focused on electrical systems connected to plumbing, preventative checks, minor remedial work, and customer engagement.
The ideal candidate will be based within a 20–25 mile radius of Reading.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and maintain electrical systems associated with domestic and commercial plumbing
Diagnose faults and carry out minor remedial work on site
Maintain accurate work logs and reporting using company systems
Ensure vans are restocked via automated restock system
Engage with customers professionally and provide clear explanations of work performed
Work independently and efficiently across a designated area
Required Qualifications & Experience
NVQ Level 2 Electrical Installation with minimum 2 years post-qualification hands-on experience, or
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation with minimum 1 year post-qualification hands-on experience
Strong practical experience in domestic or commercial plumbing
Good knowledge of electrical systems related to plumbing
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable (Not Essential)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
Gas Safe awareness
Experience with domestic heating systems, pumps, cylinders, or boiler electrics
Previous experience in customer-facing maintenance or service roles

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 | 37–40 hours per week
