Our Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity working within OME (Optronics & Missile Electronics), who deliver future products and services to the land, sea and air domains. You will be leading a hardworking and passionate team of people who are responsible for delivering on our engineering commitments.
In this role you will:
* Deploy the adequate Practices and Tools tailored (for EDM and WPM) to reach the required maturity according to Project/Product delivery challenges
* Work with the discipline delivery team to make them efficient by identifying gaps and associated actions to support delivery continuous improvement
* Capitalise and share knowledge and assets dedicated to delivery discipline
* Manage, develop and allocate people and their skills to products/projects
* Take charge of Delivery Lead Staffing (EDM and WPM) on project/product with respect to PMs’ requests where possible
* Represent the engineering function in project reviews
* Review ‘Engineering Deliverability’ for bids
* Contribute to Bids/Products and Projects peer reviews to reduce engineering risks and increase confidence to deliver and other ad hoc work
About You
* You will be able to evolve in a technical environment and understand what is at stake in order to make the most appropriate decisions for your scope
* You will be able to collaborate and interface with various stakeholders in order to ensure the cohesion of your organisation, which you support with a global and strategic vision
* You will know how to simplify and break down complex problems: you prioritise and coordinate resources accordingly, demonstrating your ability to allocate tasks efficiently
* You will know how to use your organisational skills in order to guarantee the follow-up of engineering projects, respecting deadlines, costs and quality with a clear vision of risks and opportunities (people management & development, appropriate staffing and recruitment)
* Lastly, you can master several co-engineering techniques and are able to apply Lean Management or Agile principles to team management.
