We are looking for a new School Crossing Patrol Supervisor to work alongside our existing team to assist in overseeing our School Crossing Patrols. Our School Crossing Patrols are well respected and valued by our communities and this role is an exciting opportunity to liaise with them to promote best practise and health and safety as well as be their first line of contact. You will be welcomed into our friendly and motivated Road Safety Team who are responsible for educating road users through cycle training and the use of School Crossing Patrols as well as monitoring and investigating crashes on the road network and promoting engineering measures. The team work closely with Schools, Sussex Police, Highways England, Town and Parish Councils and our local Councillors. Our work touches almost all aspects of county life by providing vital services for residents, businesses and visitors across East Sussex. By putting people at the heart of what we do, we are investing in the health, environment, education, infrastructure and economy of our local communities. The post will be predominantly located at our office in Lewes, however you will be expected to visit our school crossing patrol sites on a regular basis during their operational hours. The role is term time only. There is the opportunity for a mix of home and office-based working as part of a hybrid working model.
