Responsibilities
As part of the Social Care reforms, we are further developing our Children’s Family Front Door to support families accessing the right help and support at the right time, reducing anxiety about referral to children’s social care and preventing escalation. Our Initial Contact and Screening officers will be the first point of contact for families and professionals, answering calls, managing enquiries, requests for information, liaising with partner agencies and signposting to appropriate support/early intervention in the community. The role requires knowledge of local services, understanding of safeguarding, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders and handling sensitive and confidential information.
