I am looking to recruit for a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant role for a business based near Oakham. This is an excellent role for someone with substantial Purchase Ledger experience who has also supported junior members of staff.
Description
* Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate records of purchase ledger transactions.
* Support month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
* Liaise with suppliers to address queries and maintain strong relationships.
* Contribute to process improvements within the purchase ledger function.
* Provide support to the wider team as required.
Profile
* Relevant experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles.
* Experience supporting junior members of staff.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
