Salary: £500/Day Job type: Long Term Contract Location: Middlesbrough
Responsibilities
Contribute to driving improvements in inclusive education by strategically leading Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for learners aged 0‑25 who are vulnerable and at risk of exclusion.
Ensure arrangements for securing expertise among schools/settings and other professionals to support children and young people at risk of exclusion with a range of needs, particularly SEMH needs, are developed, monitored and challenged.
Qualifications
* Experience of leading statutory SEND services, with working knowledge of all relevant guidance
* Knowledge and experience of inclusion and outreach/specialist teaching along with working knowledge of the guidance relating to alternative provision and permanent exclusion
* Experience of leading placement and provision planning
* Experience of managing/leading diverse teams
* Experience of leading successfully across multi‑agency partnerships with a range of key stakeholders
* Significant experience of budget and resource management
* Experience of change management and service improvement
