Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Supporting individuals with mobility and physical tasks as needed.
* Implementing and following care plans tailored to each resident's specific needs.
* Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
* Assisting with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
* Engaging residents in social activities to promote mental well-being.
* Driving to provide home care services as required.
Requirements
To be considered for the Care Assistant position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
* A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
