Social Worker – Children With Disabilities Team - Suffolk - Between £35 - £39 ph
* Location: Bury St Edmunds – West Suffolk House
* Rate: £35–£39 per hour (Umbrella)
* Working Pattern: Minimum 3 days in the office/visits (most of the team attend the office most days; flexibility available for 2 days WFH per week)
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children With Disabilities (CWD) Team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with disabilities and supporting their families. You will play a key role in providing high-quality social work intervention to ensure children receive the support, protection, and services they need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring high-quality support and safeguarding.
* Undertake statutory assessments, direct work with children, and visits to families.
* Develop and review care plans, ensuring they reflect the needs and wishes of the child.
* Work in partnership with families, schools, health services, and other agencies.
* Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and case conferences.
* Support children and families through transitions, crisis situations, and long‑term planning.
* Ensure all work complies with legislation, safeguarding standards, and organisational policies.
