Market 36 Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Trainee IT Processing Technician for our client based in Braintree on a temporary to permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic functionality testing and eradicating all data on a wide range of 2nd user IT equipment, including Notebooks, Systems, Printers, TFTs, Servers, Networking, Mobile devices, and more. They will capture data on each item processed, including specifications and equipment grade, ensuring correct processes are followed to maintain work integrity and meet data eradication standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
1. Carry out daily technical processing or quality checking activities on a wide range of 2nd user IT equipment.
2. Work with team members to ensure departmental targets are achieved.
3. Ensure all client data is appropriately protected via wiping/destruction or other approved methods.
4. Check and grade technology, including computers, laptops, tablets, and phones.
5. Erase confidential data from various devices.
6. Communicate with the management team, providing feedback on daily activities, handovers, and challenges faced.
7. Assist with priority client requirements, queries, and problems as directed by management.
8. Comply with company policies and procedures (HR, Health & Safety, ISO Certifications, other industry standards).
9. Maintain site security and adhere to security policies and procedures.
10. Maintain good housekeeping practices.
11. Complete any other reasonable instructions from management.
Knowledge and Skills
* Practical knowledge of various IT hardware (preferred but not essential).
* Practical knowledge of IT components (preferred but not essential).
* Basic computer inputting skills.
* Flexibility and a positive approach to challenges.
* Aptitude for working under pressure and achieving targets.
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to assess and resolve basic testing problems.
* Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook preferred but not essential).
* Ability to manually handle up to 50-60 system units daily, with a maximum lift of 20kg.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 6 am – 2:30 pm.
