About The Team
In Bath and North East Somerset we are wholly committed to bringing cleaner air to our communities through the introduction of our Clean Air Zone in Bath.
The zone successfully launched in March 2021, setting the standard, and leading the way for the roll out of similar zones across England. Our zone was the first charging Clean Air Zone outside of London and initial indications are it is already beginning to have a positive effect on air quality.

About The Role
An opportunity has emerged for the recruitment of an additional Business Support Officer within the Clean Air Zone enforcement team handling all legislative processes required in the enforcing the Clean Air Zone and delivering its aims of improving the Air Quality with Bath.
You will be a point of contact for motorists and will handle customer complaints and queries with the aim of resolving them and providing excellent customer service. You will also handle office administration tasks and all aspects of enforcement processes.
This role will also involve supporting other services such as Parking and Highways.

About You
If you are someone who strives to deliver great customer service, has excellent communication skills as well as great IT skills, we’d like to hear from you.
You must be able to work under pressure, work well on your own and as part of the team; have personal resilience, initiative and be self-motivated.
You will be a strong team player and strive to uphold the Council’s vision and values through your work by being Bold, Empowered, Supportive and Transparent.
You’ll also need to work in accordance with both current legislation and our Council policies and procedures.
