We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children. The Deputy Manager will collaborate closely with the Manager to implement educational programmes and maintain high standards of care.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Lead and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
* Develop and implement engaging early childhood education programmes that promote children's learning and development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
* Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning.
* Manage staffing schedules, including recruitment and training of new staff members.
* Support the Manager in financial management tasks as required.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a management role within a childcare setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or early years education setting.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel between locations if necessary.
* A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
