About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sourcing/supplier management professional to join our collaborative Academic Division as our new Master Data Manager for AI content. The Master Data Manager role will be responsible for working with suppliers and stakeholders across Oxford Languages, they will prepare and execute the journey of internal OUP and externally sourced data through the required processes together with key stakeholders, including Goods-In, Quality Control, Product, Sales, to the destination of our customer deliveries. The role is essential to deliver revenue and growth for Oxford Languages' licensing business. External content management will require working closely with the Strategic Sourcing lead for handover and then taking management of the supplier for delivery. The role holder must communicate clearly and effectively and will be dealing with addressing reasons for quality rejection, correcting errors, accepting substitutes and ensure all Meta data is always kept up to date. Supplier management techniques must be utilised across suppliers of various languages and levels of English. Internal content management will require learning to manipulate multiple OUP data systems, collecting meta data and understanding how OUP operates across divisions and various data storage solutions. Creating documentation fit for internal and external purpose will be required together with a basic understanding of IP rights. It will be a fast-paced environment as the primary stage of the supply chain in contributing to positioning Oxford Languages as a major player in the language data market. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: High level of proficiency in Excel and ability to learn and navigate multiple new inhouse OUP data systems at speed. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills with the ability to build strong relationships and connections Experience of Supplier Management and with suppliers in languages other than English Experience of working across multi teams and reporting updates clearly Experience of working in an international team and across a variety of team functions. Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements. Experience working in language data and services Experience of IP and copyrighted works (desirable) Experience or knowledge of global publishing and experience working with content and data in languages other than English (desirable) Benefits We care about work/life balance here at OUP.
