A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy with a heritage spanning several decades, delivering professional services across the built environment. They have long-standing public sector frameworks and a strong presence within education estates, providing asset management, surveying, and engineering advisory services.
Due to continued framework wins, they are looking to appoint an M&E Asset & Condition Surveyor to support a major London Borough education portfolio.
The Role
This position will focus on undertaking planned M&E asset and condition surveys across a range of school sites within a single London Borough.
The work will be primarily site-based and suited to someone comfortable carrying out structured, repeatable surveys rather than design or project engineering work.
Typical survey scope will include:

Boiler plant rooms / boiler houses
*
Lighting systems & replacement assessments
*
Water cylinders & domestic hot water systems
*
Pipework infrastructure & distribution systems
*
General M&E asset verification and lifecycle condition reporting
You’ll be responsible for recording asset data, assessing condition, identifying compliance or lifecycle risks, and feeding information into asset management and capital works programmes.
Key Responsibilities

Undertake site-based M&E asset and condition surveys across school estates

Inspect mechanical plant, electrical systems, and associated infrastructure
*
Record asset data, condition, and lifecycle status
*
Identify maintenance, replacement, or compliance requirements
*
Produce clear survey reports and asset registers

Liaise with client representatives and site staff where required
