Financial Reporting Manager
Location: Kidlington (2 days onsite pw)
Salary: £70,000 + V. Competitive Benefits

Hays Recruitment is seeking a technically strong and proactive Financial Reporting Manager to lead UK financial reporting and support group reporting requirements in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape and build financial reporting infrastructure from the ground up. You'll take full ownership of statutory reporting, drive improvements in financial controls, and collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead UK statutory reporting under FRS 102 and manage the year-end audit process.
2. Own monthly consolidated financials and quarterly reporting packs under US GAAP, supporting SEC disclosure requirements.
3. Design and oversee SOX controls, including documentation, testing, and remediation.
4. Act as the primary contact for external auditors and technical accounting queries.
5. Provide guidance on revenue recognition, lease accounting, intercompany transactions, and policy implementation.
6. Partner with finance, operations, manufacturing, and talent teams to ensure consistency and compliance across reporting.
What We're Looking For
7. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
8. Experience preparing statutory financial statements and managing audits in deadline-driven environments.
9. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
10. Proven ability to establish and improve financial controls and reporting frameworks.
11. Confident user of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
12. Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-moving setting with cross-functional collaboration.
