Nailsea School is seeking to employ a Head of House from September 2026 to join our exceptional pastoral team
At Nailsea the house system is at the heart of our culture and ethos and the role will require the successful candidate to be both high profile and committed.
Each House is located in a designated area of the school, helping to create a sense of community and identity, The Four Heads of House work closely with their Assistant Heads of House on our school priorities whilst also embedding their own House identities. As Head of House you will provide guidance, challenge and support to around 250 students, divided into 8 vertical tutor groups, enabling them to achieve academic success and experience personal growth.
We would welcome visits/conversations with prospective applicants, including a discussion over the teaching commitment of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will need to:
* Have excellent communication and leadership skills
* Be passionate about the wellbeing and development of young people
* Be able to inspire, motivate and support students.
* Support the school ethos at all times
* Support the management of the House system and liaise with parents/carers.
* Work alongside teachers to support students as part of the Pastoral Team.

Salary: TMS/UPS + TLR 1A (£10, 174)
