ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Stores Supervisor is expected to work autonomously ensuring that all tooling and material matters relating to aircraft maintenance and operations completed in full in a timely manner. Complying with all aspects of RVL's Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition and supporting procedures.
The Stores Supervisor shall use their experience to assist with material and tooling issues identified to mitigate delays thus maintaining the line aircrafts' serviceability. They shall work in accordance with CAA Part 145, Part M, Part 21 and other NAA requirements as appropriate to the fleet with upmost vigilance to Health and Safety.
The role based at East Midlands Airport working Monday – Friday, out of hours contact maybe required. Future adjustment of working arrangements will be subject to operational requirements. The employee may also be required to travel.
Responsible for (including but not limited to):
* All appropriate legislative and Company procedures are adhered to within the area of responsibility of the stores to ensuring the Company remains compliant and the aircraft airworthy. You are responsible for the review and amendment to department procedures to develop best industry practice.
* Oversee & carry out daily duties such as: stock level check(s); order progress updates; reconcile overnight robberies / requisitions, shipping tracking, booking-in of materials
* Monitor upcoming schedule maintenance / component replacement to meet on-time material requirements. Escalate any known shortfalls which may impact return to service.
* Interrogate the OASES system for material usage for min stock level holding, creating replenishment orders, make recommendations for stock holdings.
* Attend meetings & liaise with Engineering, Operations, CAMO and other key departments to ensure a common understanding of upcoming material requirement
* Maintain accurate stock level of material when issuing and during regular audit
* Appropriately handle: unserviceable rotables, repair orders, core returns, BER, warranty requirements
* Identify and plan third party support requirements such as NDT, boroscope, paint
* Directly support AOG events ensuring tooling; equipment; material is sourced and made available to the recovery team
* Support the RVL-Group Quality System by ensuring prompt preventative and corrective action within agreed timescale, to non-conformance reported following Compliance and CAA audits of departments under their control
* Using the company's internal reporting system (Centrik) report matters related to safety and compliance.
* Work to: on-time task completion, cost, and compliance KPI's
* Manage and support other Stores Person(s) who report into them. Ensuring they have work structured and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to conduct their role. Carry out periodic reviews with Stores staff.
* Evaluate supplier requirements, recommendations, and assessments. Directly negotiating with suppliers for best value to RVL
* Organise & manage the working patterns for the Stores department in line with the Part 145 requirements taking into account holiday, training and sickness
* Performance of other duties as detailed by the Head of Engineering
Qualifications & Role Requirements:
Essential:
* Must have excellent computer literacy skills, competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
* Must be a team player and able to work without Management supervision
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Be able to gain a full airport pass. 5 years of references are essential
* Hold a full clean, driving license to gain Airport Driving Permit
* Maintain a valid passport
* Eligible to work and reside within the United Kingdom
Desirable:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a stores role within the aviation industry
* Awareness of CAA/EASA regulations relating to Part M and Part 145 airworthiness and maintenance requirements
* Experience with OASES, for the use of material control & ordering
* Aircraft maintenance support experience
* Hold / gain a counterbalance FLT licence
* EASA Part 145 and Part M regulation training
