Job Title: 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Pay Rate: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking a skilled 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant to join schools in Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with a pupil, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in a safe and inclusive environment.
Role Overview:
As a 1-to-1 TA, you will provide targeted support to individual pupils, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. You will play a key role in building confidence, promoting independence, and fostering a positive attitude to learning.
As a 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support a pupil on a one-to-one basis, tailoring learning activities to their needs.
* Assist the teacher in planning and delivering personalised lessons.
* Encourage and motivate the pupil to engage with learning and achieve their targets.
* Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN is highly desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to adapt to individual learning styles and needs.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
