LOCATION: Cronkshaw Fold Farm, Rossendale, Lancashire, England BB4 4AQ (~45 minutes North of Manchester)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Overseeing the administration and running of our glamping accommodations (main part of role)
* Running educational group farm tours for schools and the public
* Basic livestock care tasks of sheep, goats, poultry and honey bees
* General farm maintenance
For candidates with enthusiasm and promise but no previous farm experience, we will still consider your application. Such candidates will be given full training for the agricultural aspects of the work.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
* PASSION for tackling climate change and producing high quality, low carbon footprint food.
* INNOVATIVE and creative mindset to food production and maintaining a healthy business.
* EFFICIENT and practical approach to undertaking accommodation changeovers between farm stay guests.
* ATTENTION TO DETAIL: Ensuring the comfort and safety of all farm stay guests throughout their stay.
* PHYSICALLY FIT & STRONG: Confident in your own physical abilities to carry large bags and push wheel barrows around the farm. (usually around 10-15kg in weight)
HOURS: 9am - 3pm, 3 days a week. Work days are every Tuesday & Wednesday and alternate Fridays and Sundays. 2 year contract. Opportunities to extend contract for the right candidate.
PAY: £11,050 a year, paid monthly on the 1st of the month
Monthly bonuses are also available for successful implementation of new, innovative ideas.
HOLIDAYS: 16 days holiday a year on full pay.
