PPM are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer in the Havant area to work for one of the biggest clients. The role will be made permanent after a successful 13‑week probation period.
Responsibilities
* Diagnosing and repairing faults across a range of catering equipment.
* Servicing and maintaining commercial gas and electric catering equipment, including:
o Combi ovens (MKN, Rational, Convotherm)
o Range ovens (Falcon, Manitowoc)
o Steamers
o Commercial fridges and freezers
o Deep fat fryers
o Blenders
o Meat slicers
o Bain maries/hot cupboards
o Water coolers/boilers
o Commercial dishwashers
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
* Reporting accidents, near‑miss events, and potential hazards.
* Providing excellent customer service while working in occupied environments.
* Being adaptable to various site requirements and customer expectations.
* Completing required paperwork and compliance documentation accurately.
Qualifications and Requirements
* COMCAT 1, 2, 3 and 5 (essential).
* F: Gas Certification (preferred but not essential).
* Domestic gas qualification CKR1 (advantageous).
* Valid DBS check.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Proven experience working independently in the field with strong diagnostic skills.
* Good knowledge of relevant gas regulations and health & safety standards.
* Comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage your own workload.
