Overview
Care Team Leader – Adult Services at Autism Anglia, based at Peldon Campus in Colchester, Essex. The role is to support autistic adults and those with learning disabilities to achieve their life plans through a person-centred approach in a safe and supportive environment.

Full-time: 37 hours per week (overtime available)
About The Role
As a Care Team Leader, you will:
* Take day-to-day responsibility for running and ensuring delivery of a high-quality, safe, and person-centred service which supports and empowers staff and the people we support.
* Support individuals in activities including sport, leisure, cultural and recreational events, day trips, and holidays.
* Promote development of individuals using a holistic approach considering personal, physical, emotional, spiritual and developmental needs.
* Act as and be responsible for key worker roles to meet the needs of the people we support; engage in regular communication with the management team about individual achievements and concerns.
* Model professional behavior and encourage staff to maintain high expectations for performance and conduct.
* Manage the receipt, storage and administration of medication and related record-keeping; undertake reviews and audits to ensure safe administration.
* Follow Safeguarding procedures and act promptly on concerns.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader, preferably with autism or learning disabilities.
* Health and Social Care Level 3 Diploma (holding or working towards).
* Experience in a supervisory role and leading a team.
* Full UK clean manual driving licence with at least two years of driving experience.
* Ability to identify and support the needs, wishes and aspirations of individuals with communication needs.
* Experience providing intensive behavioural support.
* Strong communication skills and experience coordinating activities in the local area.
