We're looking for a caring, enthusiastic Senior Support Worker where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional person-centred care and support and promote independence within the service.

Reporting to: Deputy Manager, Registered Manager
Responsible for: Support Workers
Main purpose of the role:
· Assist in the leadership, support and supervision of a small staff team
· Ensure through planning and organisation that service users are supported to participate in meaningful activities, attend medical health appointments, visit friends and family and any other requirement as is appropriate.
· To manage health and safety on a daily basis to ensure service users, staff and visitors are safe within the service.
· To set and maintain standards in the service.
Duties, tasks and responsibilities:
Supervisory:
· Lead, guide and support the staff team on a day to day basis.
· Contribute to the development and review of support plans.
· Support staff to ensure they are performing effectively.
· Provide feedback to individual team members as to their performance.
· Monitor the working practices of individual team members, providing guidance where necessary.
· Plan and organise the shift to ensure positive outcomes for service users.
· Delegate efficiently to staff to utilise the individual strengths of team members.
· Attend and participate in team meetings.
· To ensure that medication is administered safely, and accounted for with any discrepancies are reported without delay to the Assistant Manager.
