About the Role: You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging History lessons for a range of year groups, following the National Curriculum. You will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters students' critical thinking skills, historical analysis, and a passion for the subject. You will contribute to the continued development of the History curriculum, ensuring it is both challenging and relevant to students' needs. You will be expected to maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and implement effective pastoral care strategies. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of success in teaching History at secondary level. Excellent subject knowledge with a strong understanding of historical concepts and teaching methodologies. Engaging and enthusiastic teaching style with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. A willingness to embrace new initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
