Job purpose To provide service, repairs and calibrations to customers’ food testing equipment as required as per manufacturer’s specification. Duties and responsibilities • Provide remote support to UK & International customers. Investigating and troubleshooting issues. • Assist with in-house QA, repairs and service for Customer and Company Equipment and Products. • Assist with manufacture and design and development work of companies own product when required. • Complete On-Site repairs, maintenance and calibration as required. • Liaise with the Service Manager and Service Co-ordinator to prioritise and plan work schedules. • Ensure equipment is calibrated to traceable standards • Assist with Laboratory Services including sample testing and application development. • Manage allocated stock of parts/consumables • Follow procedures for technical processes in line with ISO requirements and advise accordingly • Ensure the completion of prompt accurate documentation • Adhere to all relevant customer site procedures • Execute customer visits in line with agreed schedules and procedures • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures • Any other relevant duties as required Person Specification Essential • Proven experience in similar role. • Relevant qualification in electronic and/or electro-mechanical systems. • Excellent working knowledge of Computing & Software, programming/debugging. • Ability to work as part of a team, and ability to plan and work on own initiative. • Attention to detail. • Ability to diagnose and problem solve. • Good planning skills. • Excellent customer interaction skills. • Ability to manage self and time. • Able to work under pressure. • Problem solving skills. • Full UK driving license. Desirable • HND qualification or above in Engineering, Electronics and/or software. • PLC and SCADA/HMI experience
