Job Title: Clerk of Works
Location:Northampton (NN1)
Salary: £250 Per Day
Contract Type:Contract - minimum of 1 year
Working Hours:Full-time - Monday - Friday (weekend work may be required from time to time).

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clerk of Works to join our team and ensure that our projects continue to meet the highest standards.
Role;
- You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day quality assurance of construction works on-site.
- You will work closely with the project manager, contractors, and design teams to monitor progress, ensure compliance with building specifications, and report any discrepancies.
- Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all work meets the required standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor the progress and quality of construction works on site.
* Conduct regular inspections and site visits to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and relevant legislation.
* Identify any issues or deviations from the project plan and work with the contractor to resolve them.
* Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication between all parties.
* Review and assess workmanship, materials, and safety practices on-site.
* Report on site conditions and provide feedback to clients on progress, quality, and safety.
* Ensure that Health & Safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
* Assist with the resolution of any disputes, variations, or issues that arise during construction.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Clerk of Works or in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies and errors on site.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for quality assurance
* Relevant qualifications such as HNC/HND in Construction, Building, or a related field.
* Professional membership such as ICWCI (Institute of Clerk of Works and Construction Inspectorate).
