- This Medium Sized accountancy practice is looking to bring on a new general practice accounts assistant to assist with their growth in the south coast region. They have a team of 12 and are hoping to increase this to 15 in 2024. They look to bring together a wider range of skills and experience that many smaller accountancy practices are unable to offer.
- Their practice is also a qualified training establishment for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), meaning their staff are constantly learning from their specialists. They can offer flexible working, possible hybrid working (rare on the south coast) alongside study support & £28,000 - £32,000.
Your new role
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
- Ensurepliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
- Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
What you'll need to succeed
- +18 months experience in accounting practice.
- Part Qualified in either AAT/ACCA/ACA
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- Highly detail-oriented and organised.
- Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills
