Join to apply for the Sales Consultant (WES) role at Wave.

Location: Contractual base in Pearl House, Peterborough or Salvus House, Durham with hybrid working opportunities and occasional travel to either office location. Salary: £25,733 - £32,165 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary. Job Level: D. Reporting to: Business Development Manager (WES).

The Role in a Nutshell

Wave’s Water Efficiency Services (WES) team delivers value-adding services to help Wave’s business customers reduce water consumption and address water scarcity and climate change. The Sales Consultant will play a key role in delivering financial and water-saving goals by actively offering Active Water Management services, handling direct sales calls (cold and warm leads), inbound inquiries, and preparing, issuing and chasing proposals. You’ll lead customer recruitment for Wave water efficiency projects.


Responsibilities

* Proactively promote and sell Wave’s Active Water Management services via outbound calls, inbound calls, and email communication.
* Maintain and enrich the CRM with customer data, ensuring data handling in line with DPA and GDPR requirements.
* Support customer recruitment for Wave lead water efficiency initiatives by contacting eligible customers.
* Arrange water savings visits with contractors and end customers, ensuring scope and safety information is provided beforehand (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
* Write and issue proposals for Active Water Management services and actively chase them to secure sales.


What We Need From You / Qualifications

* A strong understanding of the end-to-end sales process and key sales techniques.
* Excellent telephone manner and IT literacy (MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to engage a wide range of audiences remotely.
* Ability to build rapport with stakeholders via phone and email.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
