The Role
As Head of Sales, you will lead a small team of Area Sales Managers and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the sales function. This role is all about strategy, growth and leadership - not just maintaining the status quo. You will:
* Assess the current sales team and dynamics.
* Build a high-performing structure and strategy for growth.
* Mentor, coach, and empower your team to exceed their potential.
* Drive ambitious revenue growth, with the aim of doubling or tripling turnover within two years.
* Work closely with senior leadership to align commercial goals with wider business objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine strategic vision with day-to-day hands-on support for your team.
About You
We are looking for someone who will thrives in a start-up or scale-up environment - where pace, adaptability, and resourcefulness are key. You will bring:
* A background in electrical manufacturing or related B2B industries.
* A proven track record of leading and scaling sales teams.
* Strong experience in building and implementing sales strategies.
* The ability to inspire, mentor, and grow individuals into high-performing teams.
* An entrepreneurial mindset, able to roll up your sleeves when needed.
* A network or experience selling into electrical contractors, installers, councils, education, universities, and local authorities.
