Manufacturing Engineer

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in the Bournemouth area, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving manufacturing efficiency, process improvement, and production performance within a modern manufacturing environment.
Working closely with production, quality, and design teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting new product introduction, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and procedures.
* Support new product introduction activities, including process development and production readiness.
* Identify and deliver continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, and productivity.
* Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
* Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing performance.
* Support tooling, fixture, and equipment requirements to improve production capability.
* Monitor and analyse manufacturing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar role.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
* HNC/HND or Degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Package
* Salary of £47,000
* 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
* 4.5-day working week (37 hours)
