Our Development team provides sustainable development infrastructure solutions from planning to full implementation. We advise clients on design issues relating to Highways, Public Realm, Sewerage, SUDS, Building Drainage, Earthworks, Flood Protection and Utilities Coordination/Diversion across residential, retail, industrial, commercial, educational, and healthcare developments in the UK.
We encourage staff to progress to EngTech, IEng, or CEng status, with internal and external training opportunities.
A Little More About Your Role
Leading engagement with clients on technical utilities matters, managing multi-utility coordination, and delivering designs for implementation. Work across the project spectrum from concept to detailed design, leading on master‑planning and coordination of multi‑utility infrastructure.
Your responsibilities include
* Flexible working out of our UK offices (base office flexible)
* Leading a wide variety of utility projects from local schemes to nationally significant projects
* Leading and working within multidisciplinary teams in the UK and internationally, managing coordinated project delivery
* Providing an experienced senior point of contact for the Development team and clients on key projects
* Driving business growth with existing clients and developing new client relationships
* Working closely with diverse clients to deliver complex schemes to the highest standards, within budget and programme
* Mentoring and developing our growing team
* Providing the expected quality of service and upholding our professional reputation
* Delivering a high level of commercial awareness, project/programme management and efficient problem solving
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
* Chartered Engineer or open/working towards Chartered Engineer status
* Civil Engineering Degree, or similar equivalent qualification
* Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large schemes in the UK
* Rounded understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water and Telecommunications networks in relation to new development activities
* Experience of Multi‑Utility / iDNO / ICP and commercial risk/opportunities
* Ability to develop utility demand calculations based on the needs of a development
* Proven ability to lead teams, manage and work on multiple projects concurrently and effectively organise your time and your project teams
* Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with co‑professionals and deliver high quality reports
* Experience directing BIM teams (AutoCAD / Civil 3D / Revit etc) in production of quality project models and design outputs
* Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
* Must be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
