About Us
Deafway is a charitable organization supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals within the community and residential settings. We operate a 34-bed care home providing specialized support for Deaf residents in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our staff require ongoing training to develop both professionally and personally, aiming to enhance the services we provide.
Job Details
Type: Full-time – 36.25 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening work is required.
Experience & Qualifications
* Relevant experience in training or education within healthcare or social care industries.
* Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of care practices, regulations, and standards.

Purpose of the Job
* Coordinate high-quality staff training to meet organizational needs.
* Support development and delivery of training programs.
* Ensure training complies with legislation, standards, and organizational policies.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver training for new and existing staff, utilizing E-Learning, face-to-face, and external solutions.
* Conduct training needs analysis and create/update training materials.
* Schedule and coordinate training sessions and workshops.
* Create tailored training plans to address skill gaps and support staff development.
* Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and adjust as necessary.
* Provide ongoing support and mentorship to staff.
* Maintain training records and manage the E-Learning platform.
* Oversee induction programs for new staff.
* Collaborate with external providers and utilize apprenticeship programs.
* Communicate training schedules and updates effectively.
* Assess training outcomes and produce monthly reports.
