THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity to join the Employment team in Leeds as an Associate, working across a broad and intellectually stimulating range of matters.
* Advise company owners, managers, HR professionals, in‑house counsel, public and private sector organisations, as well as senior executives.
* Handle a varied caseload covering contentious, non‑contentious and transactional employment matters.
* Manage Employment Tribunal litigation including whistleblowing and discrimination claims.
* Advise on disciplinary and grievance issues, dismissals, redundancy and restructuring processes.
* Support on corporate transactions including TUPE matters.
* Become involved in investigations and strategic advisory work.
* Build strong, long‑term client relationships.
* Work closely with colleagues across other practice areas.
* Contribute to business development initiatives.
You’ll be given meaningful client responsibility while benefiting from the support of a collaborative and well‑structured team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Qualified solicitor with 2-6 years’ PQE.
* Solid experience across contentious, non‑contentious and transactional employment law.
* Confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision.
* Technically strong with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
* A team player who can also work independently when required.
* Flexible and adaptable in approach.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
* Salary in the region of £58,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, alongside a performance related bonus.
