Job Title: Housing Support Officer
Location: Croydon
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour + Holiday Pay
Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing)
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Support Officer to join a supportive team in Croydon. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity working with vulnerable individuals, helping them maintain tenancies and move towards independent living.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide housing-related support to clients with varying needs
* Support individuals with tenancy sustainment and independent living skills
* Carry out risk and needs assessments and create support plans
* Liaise with external agencies including local authorities and support services
* Maintain accurate case records and documentation
* Promote safeguarding and ensure client wellbeing at all times
Requirements
* Previous experience in housing support, homelessness, or support work
* Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and housing pathways
* Ability to manage a caseload effectively
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Enhanced DBS (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Desirable
* Experience working with rough sleepers, substance misuse, or mental health
* Knowledge of Croydon housing services or similar boroughs
