Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of Residential Care Workers. Ensure that the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and young people are met. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
* Responsibility for safeguarding and promoting individual rights, providing good quality care, which is free from oppression, and where differences are respected and valued
* Act as a role model and mentor to our Residential Support Workers, providing guidance and support as required.
* Assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
* Ensure that all records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date
We are looking for a committed and proactive Senior Residential Support Worker to join a friendly team in a childrens residential home. To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Hands-on experience in an Ofsted-regulated childrens home
* A passion for supporting young people to thrive
* 2 years experience of working in an Ofsted-regulated home
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare
* Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations and relevant legislation.
* Leadership qualities with a supportive and resilient approach.
* A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
