This is a Fixed Term contract until 30 September 2025
We are seeking committed and enthusiastic individuals for various roles within Sandwell Libraries and Archives.
Supporting the Library Supervisor, the appointed person will work as part of a team to provide efficient, effective library and information services with high standards of customer care.
You will deliver high-quality services to users of all ages and backgrounds, meeting Council and Library standards.
You will handle tasks related to service presentation, activities, events, and administrative routines.
The successful candidates will support customers in accessing library services, including self-service and virtual options, promoting library use through outreach and promotional activities.
Requirements include
* A customer service qualification or 2 years of customer service experience
* Excellent customer service skills
* Teamwork experience
* Experience working with both adults and children
* At least two years of direct public service experience
* Strong IT skills
* Flexibility to work on Saturdays and varying hours during the week
* Willingness to work across different libraries within the Town and occasionally in other Towns based on service needs
