Technical Project Manager - Networks
Location: Stevenage or Newport (Onsite at Client Site)
Clearance: Active Security Clearance Required
Contract: Outside IR35, up to £550 per day
About the Opportunity
At Tektora, we specialise in connecting technical excellence with mission-critical projects. We are seeking a Technical Project Manager - Networks to take ownership of a high-profile infrastructure programme, shaping the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance networks.
This is a client-facing role at the heart of a secure environment, ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys technical complexity, and has the confidence to lead projects from vision to execution.
What You Will Be Doing
• Leading the end-to-end delivery of a major network infrastructure project including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
• Working alongside architects, engineers, and client teams to translate requirements into clear and actionable plans
• Overseeing implementation of key technologies, including:
• LAN/WAN architecture
• Firewall, VPN and secure remote access
• Network segmentation and zoning
• Deployment of routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers
• Network monitoring, optimisation and performance tuning
• Ensuring all solutions meet compliance and security standards (GDPR, ISO27001)
• Running technical workshops, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth operational handovers
What We Are Looking For
• Proven background delivering complex technical projects, ideally network-related
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, and firewall technologies
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade kit (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet)
• Confident stakeholder communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical discussions
• Skilled in Agile and/or ITIL delivery environments
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple workstreams
Desirable
• Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or similar
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CCNP
• Familiarity with tools like Terraform, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Ansible
• Awareness of Zero Trust and cloud networking best practice
