Responsibilities
* Leadmanage and mentor a team of MFL teachers providing guidance andsupport for their professionaldevelopment
* Ensure the curriculum meetsnational standards and is aligned with the schools educationalgoals
* Monitor and evaluate the quality ofteaching and learning within the department implementingimprovements as necessary
* Develop and maintainpositive relationships with staff students parents and otherstakeholders
* Manage the department budgetresources and facilities effectively
* Stayupdated with the latest advancements and trends in MFL education toensure the department remains at the forefront of teachingpractices
* Collaborate with other departmentheads and senior leadership to promote crosscurricularinitiatives
Requirements
* Adegree in MFL or a related field
* QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) and preferably a postgraduate qualification ineducation or leadership
* Proven experience as anMFL teacher with a strong track record of achieving excellentresults
* Leadership experience ideally as a Headof Department or in a similar leadershiprole
* Excellent knowledge and understanding ofthe MFL curriculum and assessmentrequirements
* Strong leadership and managementskills with the ability to inspire and motivate ateam
* Effective communication and interpersonalskills with the ability to build positive relationships withstakeholders
* Strategic thinking andproblemsolving abilities
* Commitment toprofessional development and staying updated with best practices ineducation
* Experience working in a schoolsetting preferably with a diverse studentpopulation
