Group Financial Accountant
to play a key role in its continued success.
The role
This is a broad and varied role that goes beyond narrow technical accounting. You'll:
* Lead on the preparation and consolidation of the University's Annual Review and Financial Statements (FRS102) and those of its subsidiaries.
* Oversee subsidiary and spin-out reporting, ensuring robust control and compliance.
* Manage a small, driven team of three: two qualified Financial Accountants (covering fixed assets, tax and subsidiaries) and one Assistant Accountant in training.
* Support financial planning, including forecasting for central costs and depreciation.
* Work closely with senior stakeholders across the University, providing technical expertise and insight.
About you
* A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Experience in statutory accounts preparation and compliance with FRS102.
* Outgoing, delivery-focused, with the drive to take ownership and see things through.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
