Overview
Border Express currently has several exciting opportunities available for experienced and motivated MR Drivers to join the team at our Gold Coast Branch.
As a Driver you will be the face of Border Express and it is therefore essential that you possess fantastic customer service and communication skills as well as a high level of presentation.
Duties
* Ensure paperwork is matched against freight to ensure that correct freight is on vehicle for delivery;
* Plan and monitor all freight movements for effective utilisation in order to meet the operations time schedule;
* Ensure PDAs are used correctly and only for their intended purpose;
* Ensure all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately;
* Ensure when loading/unloading freight that all scannable freight is scanned and accurate;
* Ensure safety and load restraint requirements are met.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Transport industry;
* Excellent Driver History Report;
* Great local knowledge of Gold Coast and surrounding areas;
* Ability to work unsupervised;
* A current minimum MR licence is essential for this position;
